Nigerian music superstar David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has once again demonstrated his generosity—this time by gifting $5,000 to Ghanaian TikToker #Ananzooficial after seeing his heartfelt cover of “With You”, a track from Davido’s new album 5ive, featuring Omah Lay.
The emotional performance quickly went viral, with viewers praising #Ananzooficial’s raw passion and near-flawless rendition that captured the soul of the original song. Moved by the tribute, Davido personally commented on the video:
“5K US for OLS, contact #deekay-dmw”, offering the generous sum as a reward.
Released on April 18, 2025, 5ive marks Davido’s fifth studio album and includes 17 tracks, with features from top artists like Omah Lay. The album has seen massive success, dominating streaming platforms and topping multiple charts.
This latest act of kindness comes just days after Davido surprised his wife, Chioma, with a brand-new G-Wagon AMG G63 for her 30th birthday. In addition, he handed the car dealer a $10,000 tip in cash. Chioma, visibly emotional, was brought to tears during the surprise celebration organized by the singer.
Davido’s generosity is well-known and consistent. In November 2021, he raised ₦200 million through a viral social media challenge, added ₦50 million of his own money, and donated a total of ₦250 million to 292 orphanages across Nigeria. He followed up in July 2023 with a ₦237 million donation benefiting over 13,000 children in 424 orphanages. Most recently, in November 2024, he pledged ₦300 million to support orphanages and fight drug abuse among Nigerian youth.
