Presley Gerber, the son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died at the age of 27.

Gerber died on Sunday, September 20, 2026, at a rehabilitation facility in Santa Monica, California, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner. He was pronounced dead at 9:45 a.m. by responding paramedics.

The circumstances surrounding his death remain under investigation. The medical examiner said an examination was conducted on September 21, but the cause and manner of death have been deferred pending additional testing and studies.

A representative for the Gerber family, Allie Jenkins, confirmed his death and appealed for privacy on behalf of the family.

“The family is asking for privacy during this very difficult and painful time,” Jenkins said in a statement reported by the Associated Press.

Presley was the only son of Crawford and Rande Gerber and the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber.

Born in Beverly Hills, California, in 1999, Presley followed his mother into modelling. He signed with IMG Models as a teenager and went on to work with major fashion brands, including Calvin Klein and Dolce & Gabbana. He also appeared in campaigns alongside his sister, Kaia.

Beyond modelling, Gerber had spoken publicly about his struggles with mental health and substance use. Through his social media series, Mental Health Mondays, he encouraged conversations around recovery and shared aspects of his own experiences.

His openness about those struggles also became part of his public story, with his sister Kaia discussing the impact of his experiences on their family in a recent interview.

Gerber is survived by his parents, Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber, and his sister, Kaia Gerber.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner said further information will be released as it becomes available.
