Broda Shaggi Breaks Silence After Months Away, Promises Full Account of Shooting

Nigerian comedian and content creator Broda Shaggi has resurfaced on social media after months of silence following a shooting incident in Ogun State.
The skit maker returned to Instagram late Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with an emotional video showing moments from his hospital ordeal after he sustained a gunshot injury.
Shaggi said the incident occurred on March 9, describing it as a day he wished had never happened. The footage showed him being rushed for medical treatment, with visible bloodstains.
He also promised to give the public a fuller account of the shooting on Wednesday, October 21.
Shaggi had been largely absent from social media since March, when reports emerged that he had been shot while filming around the Sango-Ota Bridge in Ogun State.
The incident became public on March 13, prompting concern among fans who had not received regular updates about his condition.
The Lagos State Police Command had confirmed that the incident was reported by a private hospital in the Alakuko area, where he was initially taken for treatment.
His return and promise to explain what happened could provide further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, which have remained a source of concern for his followers.
