Big Brother Naija’s Keivo breaks silence after disqualification

Former Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Victor Ikpe, popularly known as Keivo, has spoken publicly for the first time since his disqualification from the reality show.

Keivo was removed from the competition after a physical altercation with fellow housemate Tram, becoming the second contestant to leave the season through disqualification.

In a statement released on Thursday, Keivo thanked God, the show’s organisers, his family, friends and supporters for standing by him throughout his time in the house.

He also accepted responsibility for his actions, saying he had reflected on the incident and recognised that physical confrontation was not an appropriate response.

“I’ve had some time to reflect on everything that happened and I take full responsibility for my actions. My emotions took the best of me. Regardless of how strongly I felt, physical confrontation is never a solution to any situation. And I take full responsibility for my actions.”

Keivo said he intends to learn from the experience, improve himself and continue making his supporters proud.

He also expressed gratitude to viewers who supported him and those who held him accountable, while asking God for wisdom, mercy, grace and strength as he begins a new chapter.

He ended his message by wishing Nigeria a happy Independence Day.

Keivo follows Nomy as the second Season 11 housemate to be disqualified, after Nomy was removed for repeatedly ignoring instructions and refusing to wear an assigned punishment outfit.
