Big Brother Naija Season 10 Premieres July 26 With ₦150M Grand Prize — Biggest in Show’s History

MultiChoice Nigeria has officially announced that the highly anticipated Season 10 of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) will premiere on Saturday, July 26, 2025, with a special double launch event continuing into Sunday, July 27.

The announcement was made during a media briefing held on Wednesday.

The new season promises to be the most thrilling yet, with the show’s winner set to receive a record-breaking ₦150 million grand prize, the largest payout in the history of the franchise since its debut in 2006.

Returning to host the show once again is Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who will guide viewers through ten weeks of strategy, intrigue, and non-stop entertainment. The season will conclude with a live finale scheduled for October 5, 2025.

“This season is more than just a milestone. It’s a celebration of legacy,” said Busola Tejumola, Executive Head of General Entertainment at MultiChoice, noting that the official theme for Season 10 will be unveiled during the premiere weekend.

Auditions for the season kicked off online between May 3–7, followed by physical screenings in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu from May 16–18. Organisers described the process as a search for Nigeria’s most dynamic, entertaining, and authentic personalities.

At the media event, Ebuka reflected on the show’s journey so far, noting that 197 housemates have featured across nine seasons, with ₦637 million in total prize money awarded and a cumulative 709 days of broadcast delivered.

Fans can catch the live launch show on Africa Magic Showcase, Africa Magic Family, and Showmax at 7:00 PM WAT. A 24/7 live feed will be available on:

DStv Channel 198, GOtv Channel 49, Showmax (for streaming viewers).

The show will also be available on the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream apps, downloadable via Google Play and the iOS App Store.

Weekly Sunday live eviction shows will continue to air on these platforms, promising high drama and suspense.
