BBNaija S11: Aikou, Flora lose special protection, face eviction battle

Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemates Aikou and Flora have entered a new phase of the competition after losing the special protection attached to their status as gambits.

The development means the pair can now be nominated for eviction and must compete under the same rules as the other housemates.

Biggie announced the change during Monday’s nomination session in the Diary Room, informing Aikou and Flora that they would henceforth be treated like every other contestant in the house.

Their new status also puts them in contention for the season’s N160 million grand prize.

Before the latest development, Aikou and Flora enjoyed significant advantages as the season’s gambits. They were protected from nominations and eviction and were guaranteed a place in the house until the finale.

That arrangement changed following a twist introduced during Sunday’s live eviction show.

Host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu announced that viewers would be allowed to vote on whether the gambits should be released from their protected status and become full participants in the competition.

The decision has now taken effect, leaving Aikou and Flora vulnerable to the same nomination and eviction process faced by their fellow housemates.

Their journey from protected contestants to potential eviction targets adds a new layer to the competition, particularly as the season moves closer to its finale.

For Aikou and Flora, the protection that once guaranteed their survival is no longer in place. Their continued stay in the house will now depend on how they navigate the game and, ultimately, the viewers’ votes.
