Ayra Starr Makes Hollywood Debut With First Look at ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ Role

Nigerian Afrobeats singer Sarah Aderibigbe, popularly known as Ayra Starr, has made her first on-screen appearance ahead of her Hollywood acting debut in the upcoming fantasy film ‘Children of Blood and Bone’.
The Grammy-nominated artiste featured briefly in a behind-the-scenes teaser released by the film’s director, Gina Prince-Bythewood, offering fans an early glimpse into the production process.
Sharing the clip on Instagram, Prince-Bythewood expressed excitement about the project and announced that the official trailer would be released on Tuesday.
“So excited to share a peek behind the scenes of our incredible journey to Orisha. CHILDREN OF BLOOD AND BONE trailer drops TOMORROW! And in theatres Jan. 15!” she wrote.
Although Ayra Starr’s appearance in the teaser was brief, it marked her first visual introduction in character before the release of the movie.
The teaser also featured Tems’ hit single “Me & U” as its soundtrack, further highlighting Nigerian talent connected to the production.
Based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling fantasy novel of the same title, ‘Children of Blood and Bone’ is being produced by Paramount Pictures and is scheduled for theatrical release on January 15, 2027.
The film features an international cast including Viola Davis, Idris Elba, Cynthia Erivo, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lashana Lynch, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Damson Idris, Ayra Starr, Tems, and Burna Boy.
Ayra Starr’s role in the film has increased anticipation among fans eager to see the singer transition from music into acting.
