The news was shared by her sister, Lakshmi Lewis, in an emotional Facebook post honoring Ananda’s strength and the end of her suffering. According to Lakshmi, Ananda passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning at 11:35 AM in hospice care at her Los Angeles home.

Ananda bravely faced her diagnosis, exploring both conventional and alternative treatments while choosing a path that felt right for her. Despite the challenges, she remained a source of inspiration to many in the entertainment industry. In October 2024, Ananda had publicly disclosed that her breast cancer had progressed to Stage 4, after initially opting out of a mastectomy.

She later went on to host her own daytime syndicated talk show, showcasing her dynamic presence and genuine connection with viewers.
