Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has confirmed that defenders Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt are likely to miss the club’s upcoming Premier League clash against Chelsea on Friday.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Amorim said the pair may not travel with the squad to Stamford Bridge.
“I don’t know if they [De Ligt and Yoro] are going to be available,” Amorim stated, as quoted by UtdDistrict on X.
“I think they will not go to Chelsea, but some are a possibility for the final.”
De Ligt is currently recovering from a knee injury that has sidelined him for Manchester United’s last two matches. Yoro, on the other hand, picked up a knock during United’s 2-0 loss to West Ham United last weekend.
As it stands, Chelsea occupy 5th place in the Premier League table, while Manchester United are down in 16th.
