Former Super Eagles stars Daniel Amokachi and Alex Iwobi have had their goals recognized among the best ever scored at Goodison Park, as Everton pay tribute to the historic stadium.
The Premier League club is preparing to bid farewell to Goodison Park, their iconic home for the past 133 years, as they get set to move to the newly built Hill Dickinson Stadium starting next season.
As part of the farewell celebrations, Everton compiled a list of the 60 finest goals ever scored at Goodison Park. Among the selections is Amokachi’s powerful strike against Newcastle United in April 1995—a memorable moment during his time with the club.
Also making the list is Alex Iwobi’s dramatic late winner in a thrilling encounter against the same opposition in March 2022.
Although Daniel Amokachi netted 25 goals during his stint with the Toffees, this particular strike was the one chosen to be immortalized in the club’s tribute to Goodison Park’s most iconic moments.
