Al Nassr Sack Pioli After Poor Season, Ronaldo Left Without Head Coach

Cristiano Ronaldo and his Al Nassr teammates are currently without a head coach following the club’s decision to terminate the contract of Stefano Pioli.
Pioli’s departure comes after a disappointing season for the Saudi Pro League side. The Italian manager is now expected to return to his homeland, where he is set to be appointed as the new head coach of Fiorentina.
Al Nassr confirmed the news via a statement on social media: “Pioli and his staff are no more the acting coaching staff of the first team.”
Pioli previously managed Fiorentina for two seasons until 2019, before enjoying a successful five-year stint at AC Milan, which included winning the Serie A title. He joined Al Nassr after Luís Castro was dismissed.
The Saudi club is still chasing its first domestic league title since 2019. Since Ronaldo’s arrival, Al Nassr have now parted ways with three permanent managers.
