Ahmed Musa to Continue Playing for Kano Pillars Despite General Manager Role

Ahmed Musa will remain an active player for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Kano Pillars, even after taking on the role of general manager at the club.
The former Super Eagles captain was officially appointed as general manager of the four-time NPFL champions over the weekend and assumed duties on Monday.
Despite his new executive position, the 32-year-old has no plans to retire from professional football and is set to lead Kano Pillars’ attack in the upcoming 2025/26 NPFL season.
Musa, who previously played for clubs including Leicester City and CSKA Moscow, trained with his teammates on Tuesday at the Sani Abacha Stadium, signaling his continued commitment on the pitch.
Meanwhile, Kano Pillars are yet to appoint a substantive technical adviser following the departure of head coach Usman Abdallah.
