Wenger Urged To Challenge Infantino For FIFA Presidency

Former Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has been encouraged to contest the FIFA presidency against Gianni Infantino, The Guardian reports.

Wenger, who currently serves as FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, has emerged as a possible challenger amid growing opposition to Infantino’s leadership.

The Frenchman has yet to declare whether he intends to enter the race, despite mounting pressure from those seeking an alternative to the incumbent.

Wenger joined FIFA after leaving Arsenal in 2018, choosing to move away from coaching.
