Political activities within the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) gathered momentum in Adamawa State on Monday as the party inaugurated its State Executive Council. Saidu Komsisiri emerged as chairman of the new executive, following the formal unveiling of a 33-member leadership team tasked with steering the party’s affairs in the state.
Komsisiri, a former caretaker committee chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), comes from Jada Local Government Area, the same locality linked to prominent ADC figure Atiku Abubakar.
The executive council also includes Joseph Kwatri as deputy chairman, Isa Ahmad as state secretary, and Emmanuel Dominic as assistant secretary, alongside other zonal and financial officers.
The party has recently recorded increased visibility in Adamawa following the defection of Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani from the ADC, a move seen as boosting its political structure in the state.
In his remarks after the inauguration, Komsisiri said the leadership would prioritise unity, grassroots mobilisation, and strengthening of party structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
