Towards Enthronement Of Peace And Calm: Residents Of Ogun State Laud The Military On Non-Kinetic Operations

The Nigerian Military has earned rave reviews for the various non-kinetic activities in Ogun State which have culminated in the enthronement of peace and cordial relationship with the residents of the State.

This air of commendation from the Residents of Ogun State came during a Peace and Development rally organised by the Unity Advocacy Group at Sagamu, Ogun State.

According to the Convener of the Group, Ifeanyi Aigbedion in a Statement, the rally in Mowe, Ogun State was organised to promote peaceful coexistence among the different ethnic groups in the state.

According to the Convener “The non kinetic activities has boosted the relationship between the public and the Armed Forces. The people see the military as their own and have continued to support them to keep peace.

“The people are also willing to support the troops by giving relevant information needed to boost their operations.

“The people urged the Armed Forces of Nigeria under the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Christopher Musa not to give breathing space to enemies who have refused to give peace a chance.

“They also acknowledged that without peace and stability, they would be no development.

The non-kinetic activities of the AFN is to strengthen civil-military relations and foster community development in addressing Nigeria’s multifaceted security challenges.

This rally in Mowe Ogun State comes on the heels of a meeting the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa had with Media Executives to mark the two years of their operation since 2023 where he confirmed that the Armed Forces of Nigeria (AFN) is applying the kinetic and non-kinetic options which allows the military, not only to use the carrot and stick but also be more compassionate.
