Arsenal Close to Sealing Eberechi Eze Transfer in £55m Deal

Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze is reportedly nearing a move to Arsenal in what could be one of the standout transfers of the summer window.
Eze, 27, delivered another standout performance on Sunday as Palace edged Liverpool on penalties to clinch the 2025 Community Shield. His consistent displays have only intensified Arsenal’s long-standing interest in securing his signature.
Since his arrival at Selhurst Park in 2020, Eze has developed into one of the Premier League’s most dynamic and creative midfielders, attracting attention from several top-flight clubs.
According to FootballTransfers, Arsenal are prepared to table an offer worth £55 million for the England international, with £30 million expected to be paid upfront. However, Palace remain firm in their stance that Eze will not be allowed to depart until a suitable replacement is secured.
The North London side has already been active in the transfer market, bolstering their squad with several key additions. Goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and midfielder Christian Norgaard have been brought in to add experience and depth, while winger Noni Madueke has arrived from Chelsea, and young centre-back Cristhian Mosquera has joined from Valencia.
Eze’s potential arrival would further strengthen Arsenal’s creative options as they gear up for another push in the Premier League and European competitions.
