Sky Bet Championship side Hull City are on the verge of completing the signing of Nigerian winger David Akintola, who is currently a free agent.
Akintola parted ways with Turkish Super Lig outfit Çaykur Rizespor in July following the expiration of his contract. According to multiple reports, the 29-year-old has already agreed to a two-year deal with Hull City and is expected to be officially unveiled later this week.
Once finalized, Akintola will reunite with fellow Nigerian Semi Ajayi at the MKM Stadium. The winger joined Rizespor from Adana Demirspor in January 2024 and spent a season and a half with the club. During his last campaign, he scored three goals and provided five assists, contributing significantly to Rizespor’s attacking play.
