Diddy Seeks Presidential Pardon From Trump Ahead of Sentencing

Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs turns to former President Trump for clemency after conviction on prostitution-related charges.

Embattled music executive Sean “Diddy” Combs is seeking a presidential pardon from former U.S. President Donald Trump ahead of his October sentencing for federal charges related to prostitution.

The 55-year-old hip-hop mogul was recently convicted on two counts of transportation for the purpose of prostitution, a charge that carries up to 10 years in prison per count. He was, however, cleared of more serious allegations including racketeering and sex trafficking.

Diddy is expected to be sentenced on October 3.

One of his attorneys, Nicole Westmoreland, confirmed in an interview with CNN that discussions have been initiated with Trump’s team regarding a potential pardon.

“It’s my understanding that we’ve reached out and had conversations in reference to a pardon,” Westmoreland stated.

Despite the outreach, Trump has indicated he is unlikely to grant the request.

In a separate interview with Newsmax, Trump acknowledged having had a cordial relationship with Combs in the past but cited Diddy’s hostility during his 2016 presidential run.

“I was very friendly with him. I got along with him great, and he seemed like a nice guy. I didn’t know him well, but when I ran for office, he was very hostile,” Trump said.

Asked if he would consider pardoning the Bad Boy Records founder, Trump replied, “I would say so, yeah,” suggesting he is not inclined to offer clemency.

Diddy’s legal team has not publicly confirmed whether a formal application for pardon has been filed, but sources say the request is part of a broader strategy ahead of sentencing.

As the music mogul faces a potential 20-year prison term, the political and legal maneuvers around his case continue to attract national attention.
