President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to three exceptional Nigerian students who emerged as world champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition held in London, United Kingdom.
The talented trio Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli represented Nigeria with distinction, excelling in English communication and debate, and proudly securing top honors on the international stage.
Seventeen-year-old Nafisa Aminu was crowned the overall best performer in English language skills, while 15-year-old Rukayya Fema took the top spot in the debate category. Hadiza Kalli also shone brightly, clinching the Outstanding Talent Award, earning her a coveted gold medal.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu praised the students for their remarkable achievements, describing them as “shining examples” of Nigeria’s potential and promise.
“Their performance brings immense pride to our nation and serves as a beacon of what the Nigerian youth can achieve with the right opportunities,” the President said, emphasizing that their success reflects the growing strength and capability of Nigeria’s education system to cultivate world-class talent.
Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational development, President Tinubu highlighted ongoing efforts to eliminate financial barriers for students through initiatives such as the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND).
“Education is the cornerstone of national development,” Tinubu remarked, adding that his government will continue to invest heavily in empowering young Nigerians through quality education.
He encouraged Nafisa, Rukayya, and Hadiza to stay focused on their academic journeys and wished them continued success in all their future endeavors.
