The French winger also praised Messi as the greatest player of all time. The two former Barcelona teammates shared a touching reunion on the pitch, marking their first encounter since Messi left PSG.
Dembélé made his debut appearance at the FIFA Club World Cup by coming off the bench for PSG in this game. After the match, he went directly to Messi, and the two shared a heartfelt hug. In a memorable gesture, Messi gifted Dembélé his entire match kit, including the iconic number 10 jersey and shorts.
Later, Dembélé posted a photo of the two together on social media, captioning it: “Good to see you again @leomessi, the greatest of all time… I hope you continue to make history with @intermiamicf in this World Club.”
