PFDK Chief Resigns After Leaked Chats About Mourinho

Celal Nuri Demiturk, the chairman of the Professional Football Disciplinary Committee (PFDK), has resigned following the leak of private messages in which he commented on Fenerbahce manager José Mourinho.
Since his arrival at the Istanbul-based club, Mourinho has remained a polarizing and outspoken presence, frequently drawing public attention and reactions.
Demiturk was among those who reacted to provocative remarks made by Mourinho, the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager.
Following Demiturk’s resignation, Basbug Pinarbasi has been appointed as the new chairman of the PFDK, which operates under the authority of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
Fenerbahce had earlier called for Demiturk to step down, denouncing the leaked messages exchanged among PFDK members as “hostile” toward Mourinho.
The club further claimed that the content of the conversations “clearly violates the principle of impartiality.”
