Yul Edochie Reveals Why He Charges ₦20 Million for Event Appearances

Popular Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has opened up about his hefty appearance fee, revealing that he charges ₦20 million to grace events—and for good reason.
In a post shared via his Instagram page on Monday, Edochie explained that his presence is far from ordinary. According to him, when he shows up, he arrives not alone, but with powerful spiritual backing.
“When I charge you ₦20 million to appear at your event, know that I do not come alone,” he wrote. “I come with all my ancestors and ten thousand spirits from Nteje and Umudioka.”
He made the statement while recounting his recent appearance at the funeral of the father of his friend, Barr. Tochukwu Nweke (SAN), known as Omelora. Edochie described the day as a powerful one, filled with tradition and reverence.
“On this day, Nsugbe was on fire. I came out to honor my dear friend as he laid his father to rest. ISI MMILI JI OFOR 1 of Igbo Land. EZEDIKE 1 na Nteje Aborgu,” he added.
