Katsina United head coach Azeez Audu has named his side’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday 31 clash against Ikorodu City as their toughest outing of the 2024/25 season.
The Chanji Boys endured a heavy 6-0 defeat in the match, which was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.
Reflecting on the encounter, Audu described the game as one that he will never forget.
“The most difficult match in the just concluded season for me as a coach is our match against Ikorodu City,” Audu told Nigerian Players Gallery. “I think it’s unforgettable.”
The young coach also highlighted their dominant performance in the week 34 fixture against Abia Warriors as the easiest game of their campaign.
Katsina United defeated Abia Warriors 5-1 in that encounter, registering their highest goal tally in a single match this season.
“Seriously, no match is easy because we fight to get the three points,” Audu explained. “But I will say against Abia Warriors, because we scored the highest number of goals this season against them.”
