Joseph Aloba, father of the late singer Mohbad, has revealed that he paid N16 million to a pathologist for an independent second autopsy on his son.
Speaking during a recent TikTok live session, Aloba said, “In all honesty, I paid N16 million as the first installment to the pathologist. After that, I spent nearly N2 million more. If the pathologist denies this, then you have every right not to believe me again.”
He also addressed speculation about the amount, saying, “Some people claimed I paid N12 million, but I’m telling you now—it was N16 million.”
According to reports, Aloba’s disclosure comes about a month after an independent autopsy and forensic medical review conducted by Dr. Uwom Eze failed to determine the exact cause of Mohbad’s death.
Back in June 2024, T.A. Shotobi, a Coroner Court magistrate in Ikorodu, Lagos State, granted Aloba permission to hire a licensed pathologist for the independent examination.
