Nigerian superstar Asake is set to join the prestigious list of Nigerian artists who have headlined Madison Square Garden.
The announcement came as part of his 2024 “Lungu Boy Tour,” which will span Europe, America, and Australia, starting July 29, 2024.
Asake revealed the details of his tour and the forthcoming release of his third album on June 10, 2024, via his social media platforms.
The tour will kick off with a headlining performance at Afronation in Portmatio, followed by another headlining slot at the Wireless Festival in London.
The “Lungu Boy Tour” will see Asake performing at several notable arenas across the United States, including the Capital One Arena in Washington DC, State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Toyota Center in Houston, and the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York.
Other significant stops on the tour include YouTube Theatre in Los Angeles, Zenith Arena in Paris, Uber Eats Music Hall in Berlin, AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Palladium in Cologne, Sarena in Dublin, and Promiseland in Australia.
Headlining these iconic venues underscores Asake’s status as one of Nigeria’s biggest music stars. In 2023, the Grammy-nominated artist joined the ranks of Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy by headlining the O2 Arena in London. Following his performance, Rema also joined this exclusive club. With his upcoming show at Madison Square Garden, Asake will become the fourth Nigerian artist, after Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Davido, to headline the renowned New York venue.
Asake’s rise to fame has been marked by a series of hit releases and electrifying performances, earning him a place among the top Nigerian artists making waves on the global stage.
