Wizkid Cancels Key North American Dates on ‘Morayo’ Tour Amid Growing Concern

Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar Wizkid has unexpectedly cancelled several major stops on the North American leg of his highly anticipated Morayo world tour, raising concern among fans and industry insiders alike.

The affected dates include high-profile venues such as:

  • June 5 – State Farm Arena, Atlanta

  • June 7 – Madison Square Garden, New York

  • June 11 – Scotiabank Arena, Ontario, Canada

  • June 15 – CFG Bank Arena, Baltimore

As of now, Wizkid’s camp has not issued an official statement regarding the cancellations, leaving fans in suspense and hoping for rescheduled dates or more information.

Despite this setback, sources close to the artist indicate that the European leg of the Morayo tour remains on track, with no changes announced at this time.

However, online reactions suggest the cancellations may stem from deeper personal challenges. In a response to a fan query, Wizkid’s close associate, Godson, fueled speculation by urging fans to keep the artist in their prayers.

“Add him to your prayer. Personally, I think he’s still grieving and nobody is helping him through it. Sad,” Godson wrote on social media.

The comment has reignited conversations about Wizkid’s emotional state, particularly following past losses and the subdued public appearances that have followed.
