Victor AD Apologises to Tiwa Savage Over Unreleased ‘Wetin We Gain’ Remix

Afrobeats singer Victor AD has apologised to Tiwa Savage for the non-release of a remix of his hit song, Wetin We Gain, which featured a verse from the award-winning singer.

The musician, whose real name is Victor Adere, issued the apology in an open letter shared on social media, admitting that he should have addressed the matter much earlier.

Victor AD thanked Tiwa Savage for contributing to the remix, which was never officially released, and accepted responsibility for how the situation was handled.

He acknowledged that although he could offer several explanations for why the project did not materialise, none would outweigh the time, effort and creativity Tiwa invested in the song.

“I should have done this a long time ago, but it’s never too late to take accountability for my actions,” he wrote.

The singer also praised Tiwa Savage for her contributions to Afrobeats and her role in creating opportunities for other artists within the industry.

He described her influence as significant and expressed gratitude for the support she had given him throughout his musical journey.

“I’ll never take your contribution to my journey for granted. I love and appreciate you, Mama,” he added.

Tiwa Savage responded to the apology by expressing appreciation for the gesture and indicating that she had no resentment over the unreleased collaboration.

“God knows the reason for everything. All love,” she replied.

The exchange brought attention to the previously unreleased remix of Wetin We Gain, one of Victor AD’s best-known songs.
