Veteran Actor Baba Lanko Opens Up on Violent Marriage With Mama No Network
The Nollywood actor recounts alleged domestic abuse and reveals how his ex-wife indirectly led him to his current marriage.

Veteran Nollywood actor Adeola Shoremi, popularly known as Baba Lanko, has spoken candidly about his troubled marriage to fellow entertainer Atinuke Kazeem, widely known as Mama No Network.
The duo, who married in 2014 in a star-studded ceremony featuring a performance by Fuji icon Pasuma Wonder, appeared to be a perfect match at the time. But in a recent interview, Baba Lanko revealed that the marriage was marred by violence.
He alleged that his ex-wife once attacked him with a cutlass, leaving lasting scars. “This is a finger injury I sustained, which left it bent, due to repeated fights with her,” he recounted, showing evidence of the wounds.
Despite the turbulent past, the actor acknowledged a twist of fate in their story. According to him, Mama No Network once introduced a young apprentice to learn theatre arts under his mentorship. That apprentice later became his wife.
“The apprentice who was brought to me by my ex-wife is currently my wife, and she has given birth to four children. We’re living fine,” Baba Lanko revealed.
The actor’s revelations have sparked conversations online, with many weighing in on the complexities of celebrity marriages and the long-lasting impact of domestic violence.
