Tonto Dikeh Foundation Launches Housing Scheme for Vulnerable Widows in Nigeria

The Tonto Dikeh Foundation has announced the launch of a new welfare initiative aimed at supporting vulnerable widows across Nigeria through sustainable housing support.

The programme, titled “Project Shelter & Hope,” was unveiled in celebration of the 41st birthday of the foundation’s Board Chair, Engr. Evangelist Tonto Dikeh.

Under the initiative, five widows will be selected to receive fully provided homes, an intervention the foundation says is designed to offer stability, dignity, and renewed hope for beneficiaries.

According to the foundation, the project goes beyond providing physical shelter. It is also intended to restore confidence and improve the overall quality of life for widows who have faced economic and social hardship.

Officials described the initiative as a commitment to “rebuilding lives, not just constructing houses,” emphasizing its focus on long-term impact and emotional support for beneficiaries.

In a statement shared by the foundation, the initiative was presented as a tribute to the strength and resilience of widows, noting that the homes represent a fresh start for selected recipients.

The statement added: “To honor their resilience, strength, and sacrifices, five deserving widows will receive homes of their own, offering not just shelter, but a fresh start and renewed hope for the future.”

It further emphasized that the project reflects a broader mission of transforming lives and strengthening communities, rather than a one-time charitable gesture.

The announcement has drawn attention online, with many describing the initiative as a meaningful contribution to social welfare and widow support in Nigeria.
