President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Deputy Controller-General Olumode Samuel Adeyemi as the new Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS).

The announcement, conveyed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), takes effect from August 14, 2025. It follows the retirement of the current CG, Engr. According to the Board’s Secretary, Maj.-Gen. (Rtd.) A.M. Jibril, Adeyemi is a seasoned officer who transitioned from the FCT Fire Service and has completed extensive in-service training, command courses, and international programmes.

He is also a fellow and member of several professional bodies, including ANAN, the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Treasury Management.
