Tijani Set for Dukla Prague Move After Struggles at Salzburg

Former captain of the Golden Eaglets, Samson Tijani, is on the verge of completing a transfer to Dukla Prague, a club in the Czech Republic First Division.

Tijani arrived in the Czech Republic on Wednesday and is scheduled to undergo a medical examination today (Thursday) as part of the move.

The 23-year-old midfielder is transferring from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg, where he has struggled to make an impact since joining in 2020. Tijani made only three league appearances for the club and was loaned out to four different teams during his time there.

His progress was also hampered by a long-term injury that kept him out for an extended period.

Tijani is best known for captaining Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil.
