Super Eagles Coach Eric Chelle Targets Victory Against Sudan After CHAN Opener Defeat

Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle has made it clear that his team will be going all out for a win when they face Sudan in their second group-stage match at the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN).
Nigeria fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat in their opening fixture against defending champions Senegal, and now face a must-win situation as they prepare to take on Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar on Tuesday.
With elimination looming, Chelle acknowledged the significance of the encounter and stressed that the players are fully focused on securing three crucial points.
“It’s a big game, it’s an important game against Sudan. We need to win tomorrow and after that, we will see,” Chelle told reporters during his pre-match press conference.
The Super Eagles must get a positive result to keep their hopes of progressing in the tournament alive.
