Russell Martin, the manager of Southampton, has commended Joe Aribo for his role in the team’s promotion campaign.
For the past five Sky Bet Championship games, Aribo has started for the Saints.
The Saints are presently fourth in the standings and have won their past four games.
Martin heaped plaudits on Aribo for his impressive displays and labelled him “a top player”
“He has been excellent. He hasn’t played a huge amount of minutes since he came back from the AFCON but he has been excellent,” the gaffer told the club’s official website.
“It was a huge amount of minutes for him in the last few games. Joe is a top player. It took him a while when he got back because he hadn’t played for three or four weeks at AFCON.
