Singer D4vd Arrested in Los Angeles Over Teen’s Death, Held Without Bail

American singer David Anthony Burke, known professionally as D4vd, has been arrested by police in Los Angeles in connection with the death of a 14-year-old girl, authorities have confirmed.

The 21-year-old is currently being held without bail as investigators continue to build their case. Officials said the matter will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for further legal action.

The arrest follows an extensive investigation that began after the remains of Celeste Rivas Hernandez were discovered on September 8, 2025.

According to law enforcement, the remains were found inside a vehicle linked to the singer. The car had been towed to a Hollywood impound yard after reports of a strong, unusual odour. Authorities later confirmed that the vehicle was registered to a Texas address associated with Burke.

Medical examiners reported that the body was in an advanced state of decomposition, suggesting the victim may have died several weeks before it was discovered. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.

Rivas Hernandez had previously been reported missing in April 2024. She was last known to live roughly 75 miles from where her remains were eventually located.

Investigators began presenting evidence to a grand jury in Los Angeles in December, with Burke later identified as a person of interest. Court documents indicate that he could face a murder charge as proceedings continue.

Following the discovery, the singer cancelled his scheduled world tour and stepped away from public appearances. He also reportedly lost several brand partnerships. His representatives had earlier stated that he was cooperating with authorities.

The case remains under active investigation.
