
Brazilian football icon Romario has described France as the strongest national team in the world despite expressing satisfaction with Brazil’s performances at the ongoing FIFA World Cup.
Speaking during an interview with RMC Sport, the 60-year-old praised the French side ahead of other leading football nations, while also commending the progress made by Brazil in the tournament.
“I was very happy to play in the FIFA World Cup in the United States in 1994.
“That was 30 years ago, and now I am very happy and excited to be back here, especially to see the performance of the Brazilian team, who have improved a lot.
“The French team also impressed me a lot; in my opinion, they are currently the best team in the world.”
France and Brazil have both secured places in the Round of 32 of the ongoing World Cup.
