Remo Stars Stadium and Onikan Arena to Host Super Falcons’ Friendlies Against Cameroon

The upcoming international friendlies between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Cameroon’s Indomitable Lionesses will be held at two prominent venues in Nigeria—the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne and the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Onikan, Lagos.

The first of the two matches is scheduled to take place on Friday, 30 May, at the Remo Stars Stadium, while the second encounter will be held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday, 3 June.

These double-header friendlies are part of the Super Falcons’ preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON). The tournament will see Nigeria, the nine-time continental champions, compete in Group B alongside Botswana, Tunisia, and Algeria.

This will mark the Super Falcons’ return to action since their last outing in December, when they faced France’s Les Bleues. Head coach Justine Madugu will use the matches to assess his squad and fine-tune tactics ahead of the WAFCON finals.
