Remo Stars Ladies have been boosted by the return of Hannah Ibrahim, Aishat Animashaun, and Taiwo Adegoke for their Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Matchday 14 fixture against Dannaz Ladies.
The trio rejoined the squad after representing Nigeria in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Algeria, where they played a part in the Flamingos’ successful qualification campaign. They resumed training with the team on Tuesday.
“Back with us after qualifying for the U-17 World Cup with the Flamingos. Welcome back, Hannah, Aishat, and Taiwo,” the club announced via their official Facebook page.
Remo Stars Ladies will host Dannaz Ladies at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne on Wednesday. The club has already secured a spot in the NWFL Super Six playoff tournament, where Nigeria’s top six teams will battle for the league title.
Defending champions Edo Queens, Rivers Angels, Nasarawa Amazons, and Bayelsa Queens have also sealed their places in the playoff. The final slot will be decided in a crucial Week 14 showdown between Naija Ratels and FC Robo Queens.
