Rita Daniels, mother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has explained her daughter’s recent visit to the residence of her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid speculation that the couple may have reconciled.
Rumours of a possible reunion gained momentum on social media over the weekend after Regina was reportedly seen at Nwoko’s residence.
The development triggered reactions from Nigerians and some celebrities who had publicly supported the actress during the couple’s reported marital dispute.
Actor Stanley Ontop, a known supporter of Regina, criticised the reported visit, alleging that the actress had returned to the relationship after receiving support from those who had stood by her during the dispute.

Rita Daniels disclosed the information in a private exchange with actor Uche Maduagwu, who subsequently shared the conversation on Instagram.
According to Rita, Regina was invited by Nwoko to see their children.
“She was invited to see her children, that was what happened.”
She also thanked Maduagwu for his support and concern during the situation.
