Head coach of Osun United, Seye Ajayi, has called on his players to remain focused and determined in their pursuit of promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
The Gladiators currently sit at the top of Group B in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Super 8 playoffs, having earned four points from two matches. Their most recent outing was a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Crown FC in Asaba on Monday.
Ajayi praised his team’s performance throughout the playoffs but emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum ahead of their decisive final group match.
“We need to go back and re-evaluate ourselves so as to reinvigorate our passion in a bid to secure promotion tickets,” Ajayi said in an interview with the club’s media team.
“But in all, I salute my boys—they made us happy. A point is better than nothing at this stage.”
Osun United must avoid defeat in their final group fixture to secure a spot in next season’s NPFL.
