Osimhen climbs to third on Galatasaray’s all-time foreign scorers list

Victor Osimhen has climbed to third place among Galatasaray’s highest-scoring foreign players after another impressive outing for the Turkish champions.

The Nigerian striker scored twice in Galatasaray’s 4-0 victory over Erzurum FK on Friday night, taking his tally beyond former Czech international Milan Baros, who scored 61 goals for the club.

Osimhen has now recorded 62 goals and 16 assists in 76 appearances for Okan Buruk’s side.

Only Mauro Icardi, with 77 goals, and Gheorghe Hagi, who scored 72, remain ahead of the 27-year-old on the club’s list of leading foreign scorers.

The former Lille forward also reached another milestone, becoming the first Galatasaray player since Mario Jardel in the 2000/01 season to score at least four goals in the opening two matches of a Süper Lig campaign.
