Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has requested additional time to make a decision about his future, following a meeting with Galatasaray president Abdullah Kavukcu.
The development was revealed by reputable Galatasaray journalist Kağan Dursun.
“Victor Osimhen, who met with Abdullah Kavukcu, asked for additional time from Galatasaray,” Dursun was quoted by habersarikirmizi as saying.
Osimhen recently completed a highly successful loan spell at Galatasaray, which ended a few weeks ago.
Although the Nigerian international has not yet decided on his next destination, Galatasaray are eager to secure him on a permanent basis.
The 26-year-old forward has drawn significant interest from several top European clubs, including Juventus, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Despite the competition, Galatasaray remain hopeful. The club’s vice president, Ibrahim Hatipoglu, has publicly voiced confidence in their ability to sign Osimhen permanently.
Osimhen impressed during his time in Turkey, scoring an outstanding 37 goals in all competitions last season—making him a priority target for the Turkish Super Lig champions.
