Opta Supercomputer Tips Liverpool as Favourites for Champions League Glory

With the UEFA Champions League group stage set to kick off next week, Opta’s supercomputer has released its latest predictions for the tournament.

Liverpool have been ranked as the top favourites, given a 20.4% chance of winning the trophy. Arsenal follow closely behind as the second favourite.

Defending champions Paris Saint-Germain are rated at 12.1%, making them third favourites to retain the title.

Manchester City and Barcelona are next, each with 8.4% chances, while Chelsea sit just behind with 7%, ahead of record winners Real Madrid, who were given 5.8%.

Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Newcastle United round out the top 10, each with 5% chances of lifting Europe’s biggest club prize.
