Ondo State PDP Mourns the Passing of Chairman Fatai Adams

 

The Ondo State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is in mourning following the untimely demise of its Chairman, Fatai Adams. Adams passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, February 14, 2024, after a brief illness, leaving the party and its members in shock and devastation.

 

The Publicity Secretary of the PDP in Ondo State, Mr. Kennedy Peretei, confirmed Adams’ passing to Channels Television via phone, indicating that the party would soon issue a public announcement regarding the incident.

 

Expressing profound sadness, the Ondo chapter of the PDP described Adams’ death as not only a loss but also a traumatic event for the party.

According to Peretei, the late chairman breathed his last in a hospital in Akute, the Ondo State capital, after battling a brief illness.

 

In response to this tragic loss, the State Working Committee (SWC) of the PDP declared a three-day mourning period.

As a mark of respect, party flags are to be flown at half-mast, and all party Secretariats will remain closed across the state during this period.

 

The PDP extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and the entire party fraternity in the Sunshine State.

Fatai Adams, a former Member of the Ondo State House of Assembly (2007-2011), was elected State Chairman in August 2020.
