NNL Chair George Aluo Vows Integrity in Super Eight Race, Eyes Top Standards

Chairman of the Nigerian National League (NNL), George Aluo, has reiterated his board’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity of the league, stressing that only the most deserving teams will earn spots in the Super Eight and eventual promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
In a confident address, Aluo affirmed that the current NNL leadership is focused on aligning with international standards and will not yield to external pressures or undue influences.
“Since assuming office, we have maintained a high level of integrity, and our resolve to reposition the league is evident in the impressive performance of the teams we promoted last season to the NPFL,” Aluo stated.
He assured fans and stakeholders that the same standards will be upheld in the current season as the league advances toward its decisive phase.
Aluo also expressed appreciation to the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Ibrahim Gusau, for his ongoing support of the NNL. He reiterated the board’s vision of transforming the NNL into the best-managed football league in Nigeria.
His comments come at a pivotal moment in the season, with clubs fiercely competing for places in the Super Eight — the final step toward achieving promotion to the NPFL.
