
The Nigeria Nationwide League One (NLO) has handed indefinite suspensions to several players and officials of Ahudiyanem FC following misconduct during their fixture against Right 2 Win FC.
Players Anayo Chukwujekwu, Christopher Onu, and Emmanuel Ibeh, along with the club’s team manager and head coach, were cited for actions deemed to have tarnished the image of the game.
Those affected have been prohibited from participating in league-related activities until the disciplinary committee reaches a final verdict on the matter.
The league body also extended sanctions to Ahudiyanem FC supporters, placing them under suspension.
Furthermore, the club has been fined N500,000 and instructed to provide a written commitment assuring the protection of match officials, after reports emerged of threats made during the incident.
The NLO clarified that Right 2 Win FC did not receive any points from the encounter, emphasizing that the match was not officially declared abandoned by the officials despite the disruptions.
