Nasiru Abara is on the verge of being named the new head coach of Nigeria National League (NNL) outfit, Adamawa United.
The impending appointment was confirmed on Monday by Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) player intermediary, Shuaibu Yakubu Labosa.
Abara, a promising young coach, has previously held roles with Niger Tornadoes Feeders and Maikunkele FC, gaining valuable experience in Nigeria’s lower leagues.
Adamawa United are expected to finalize the terms of his appointment ahead of the upcoming 2025–26 NNL campaign.
In the meantime, the club’s assistant coaching staff has been overseeing pre-season preparations.
Adamawa United will be looking to improve on their performance from last season, where they failed to qualify for the NNL playoffs.
