Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brighton for the £70 million signing of midfielder Carlos Baleba.
The deal is valued at an initial £65 million, with a further £5 million in add-ons, while Brighton will also retain a sell-on clause.
The Cameroon international is expected to undergo a medical within the next 24 hours before signing a five-year contract with the Red Devils.
Baleba would become United’s third midfield addition of the transfer window, following the arrivals of Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
United have monitored the midfielder for some time, with their interest dating back to his spell at French club Lille.
