Liverpool manager Arne Slot has identified three Premier League teams that exhibit greater intensity than his own squad.
As the Reds prepare to kick off their title defense with a home match against Bournemouth on Friday, Slot praised the work rate of Andoni Iraola’s side, describing them as one of the most challenging opponents in the league.
Bournemouth, who secured a ninth-place finish last season, were singled out by Slot as “probably the most intense team in the league” in terms of running and physical exertion. He also placed Newcastle United and Arsenal just behind them in terms of intensity.
Speaking to the press, Slot remarked, “Bournemouth were probably the most intense team in the league last season when it came to running. Then Newcastle and Arsenal follow closely, which perfectly illustrates the competitive nature of this league. Bournemouth’s intensity is remarkable.”
