Kelechi Iheanacho Poised to Join Samsunspor in Turkish Super Lig

Nigerian forward Kelechi Iheanacho is on the verge of completing a transfer to Samsunspor, a club competing in Turkey’s Super Lig.
Sources from Turkey indicate that Iheanacho has reached an agreement to make a permanent move to Samsunspor. The club is currently engaged in talks with Spanish side Sevilla to finalize the contractual terms of the deal.
Reports reveal that Iheanacho’s annual earnings are expected to be around €1.2 million, with Sevilla set to receive a transfer fee of €3.5 million.
The 28-year-old Nigerian international initially joined Sevilla on a free transfer last summer after parting ways with Leicester City. Earlier this year, he spent a loan spell at Middlesbrough in the English Sky Bet Championship.
Samsunspor reportedly turned their attention to Iheanacho following their unsuccessful attempt to sign Chuba Akpom, who has recently signed for Ipswich Town.
