Jarret Tenebe has been named the new chairman of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Bendel Insurance.
He takes over from Philip Shaibu, who was recently appointed as the Director General of the National Institute for Sports (NIS).
The appointment was officially announced through a press release issued by Edoko Wilson Edoko, the media officer of the Edo State Sports Commission.
“This decision aligns with the broader goal of revitalizing Edo State’s sports infrastructure, in line with the vision of His Excellency, Governor Senator Monday Okpebholo,” the statement read.
Bendel Insurance concluded last season in fifth place, and with Emperor Tenebe’s extensive background in football administration, the club believes he is well-positioned to elevate its performance.
The official unveiling ceremony for Tenebe is set to take place next week.
